Hello: Henry Arthur Clark, who spent approximately the first third of his life in South Africa, may have lived/worked in the East Africe colonies for some years. His birthdate is uncertain, so far, although is birthplace is listed as Albany, Cape Province. He came to Australia 1881?-1929.
His father was Henry Thomas Clark, and his mother's maiden name may have been Barnes. Both emigrated from Scotland to South Africa, HAC said to have been the first born of several children.
Folklore has it that he spent some years as a dairyfarmer? in East Africa. Possibly he was widowed at this time, a small daughter being left in an care in South Africa.
Can anyone help by providing any information indicating that he was resident in East Africa, please.
