I am trying to STILL get more info on my line of Kahlers. only one family member has contacted me. I have found out that mine are from Hamberg, Frankfurt. some are in Barenstein and what was Annaberg. The names there I have are relatives and spelled their surnames KOEHLER. The Kahlers I have are: Oscar Kahler Augusta (Gabriel) Kahler. Kids are: William, hattie,Mildred,Elsie,Alfred, Arthur,Clinton and Anna. Oscars father and mother were; Julius Kahler and Ameda. I don't know her maiden name. they came to new york and lived in shandaken for a while, came here in 1886. Also does anyone know more about the name it's self, the origination. hope someone can help thanks helaina helainacy@comcast.net
