Arthur Leroy Jones md Essie Faye Cowan Shrimpton, a widow, in 1939, in Omaha, Ne. She had 2 children, Charlotte and Alfred James Shrimpton. They had 2 sons, Preston James and Patrick McKay Jones in Omaha, then apparently moved later to Laclede co, Mo. Arthur, Essie Faye and Patrick d. and are bd there. What happened to Charlotte, Alfred James and Preston James? In the 1940 census, Omaha, Ne, enumerated Apr 26, 1940, Charlotte and Alfred James as listed with last name of Jones, so don't know whether or not he formally adopted them.
