Hello,

I am looking for more books, sources or anything where I might find mention of Thomas JARMAN or JERMAN, who had a daughter Elizabeth, born about 1692-1695, in either Wales or Chester County, Pennsylvania. The story I found is that Elizabeth was the daughter of a Quaker preacher, Thomas JARMAN, and she eloped with James E. ANDERSON, marrying in 1711 in Chester County, PA. James E. Anderson had immigrated in 1707, along with two brothers, supposedly George and William. They settled in Chester County, PA, near Schuylkill across the river from where Valley Forge was. I found evidence of the James E. Anderson cabin built there, and some limited info about three of their children (Patrick, Edward and James Anderson), but that's it. I would love to know where I could find more info about this Thomas JARMAN, his wife and any other children.

I would think, being Quakers, that there would be mention of the family in the meeting records. I would really appreciate advice about this. I haven't done any serious Quaker research - this will be my first.

Thank you,
Laura
