Hi there, I'm trying to make a connection to the following family: William ROBINSON married Ellen CASHEN in Lancashire England, and had the following son: Alfred ROBINSON b. August 13, 1852, Little Bolton, Bolton, Lancashire, England. (this I've obtained from my gr-gr-grandfather's birth certificate, including Wm ROBINSON's occupation as Letter Press Printer) Also, sent to me was the following: Bolton Directory of 1874, which lists residents and their work when applicable. I note that there is a William Robinson, general printer and publisher of the Bolton Advertiser, newspaper, 3a Crown Street, Bolton. **I know my gr-gr-grandFather, Alfred Robinson migrated to Ontario Canada in 1874 and he too was a Printer and Publisher in Ontario... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I found the following information on the LDS site that is very possibly a connection (CASHEN being the link): William ROBINSON b. Sept 19, 1814: St George Chapel, Douglas, ISLE OF MAN, England father: John ROBINSON, mother: Jane CANNELL Wm ROBINSON married Nov 4, 1845, Bradden, Douglas, ISLE OF MAN, England to: Ellen CASHEN b. 1823, Liverpool, Lancashire, England father: Philip CASHEN, mother: Catherine LAWTON They had a son: William Philip ROBINSON b. Aug 8, 1848, Douglas, ISLE OF MAN, England ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Anyways, I figure I'd post my findings, incase anybody recognizes this group.
