Hi All,

I know some of you are experts are finding information that may be difficult to find, I am hoping someone may be able to help me progress this.

I am looking for more information regarding James McClaugherty who married Agnes McGarry. Is there anyone with any references in finding information about James McClaugherty's origins in Ireland (or believed to be County Down)? Would his surname have been recorded as something different as all the Irish and Scottish databases show no results of the surname "McClaugherty"?

I would like to find out when James and Agnes were born & married, where they lived prior to coming to the US and what ship they boarded, and who their parents were in Ireland to continue the search. I have been stuck for about a year now with no new leads. Any information or any assistance that can be offered to help pursue the search would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for any assistance that you can offer.

Arrived to Lancaster County, PA. (Any information about the ship they would have arrived on to the United States?)
