Thanks for the input Kathleen, i was starting to think no-one out there could hear my plea for help. I think you're right, the marriage certificate must be my next port of call but being on a pension, i will have to put a few pennies aside for that in the next month or so and then maybe contact BDM's. The hard part of tracking Richard & Rosina's background has only just begun. From recent information from a cousin, i have found that Richard changed his last name to Cook when he came from Wales. Don't know where in Wales, don't know original name, don't know what year he came so maybe his parents names will be on the marriage certificate but i've got a deep feeling they won't be. As an amatuer at all this, i look like having quite a challenging time. Hopefully another descendant of theirs will see this and help me.
