Mary,according to the census records it is Thomas who was married to both Mary and Julia and the children belong to Thomas and his wives.If I might make a suggestion,I would contact either the Rochester County Clerk's office,39 W. Main St,Rochester,NY or NY State office of Vital Records in Albany,New York to obtain copies of the death cert for John Lynch died between 1870-1880 and the marriage certs for Thomas and Mary(around 1850) & Thomas and Julia(around 1868) as you could get the parents names from these.Before you go to Irish records,you need to gleen as much info from the US as possible especially for a common surname such as Lynch.I think John was also married in the US as Thomas was born here.Hope this helps,Kim
