I searched the ROOTSIRELAND.IE database. It has 4.5 million M records. This database isn't complete yet. It may be several years before it covers all Irish counties.
For a John Hunt and Mary Hanly marriage, I found only 1 M record in 1831, County Galway. Galway is on the west coast of Ireland, and had a small, but active port. However, the date is WAY off your est 1850 M date. If the record is for your ancestors, they would likely have had a half-dozen children by 1853. Hence, there is only a VERY slim chance it is the right record.
Suggest you google ROOTSIRELAND.IE and register (free). The Irish Family History Foundation will notify you as more records are added to the database. You might want to try duplicating my search to get the skills needed to search further.
It would help if you know the names and DOB for any other of their offspring.
