Hi John. If you have his death record, does it show where he was buried and what church he was buried from? Do you have his children's death records? Have you located a marriage record? Sometimes the children's death records, depending on how much the information provider knew, might give a place of birth of the child's parents. Same thing with marriage records. A marriage record will probably give the location of the marriage, and it's a possibility that the church may have ecclesiastical records of his baptism. It's worth a shot. My own Hagans are from County Tyrone. There are only three Terence Hagans listed in the 1901 census of Ireland, which is available online and free at http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/ Two are in Tyrone. |
