There are several publications on various genealogical websites that list the names and dates of birth of ARTHUR INGHRAM, his wife, SARAH AGNES ANKROM, and all 13 of their children.
Does anyone have information regarding the origin of this information? Was it extracted from a family bible?
Would like to exchange information about this Inghram family.
I am descended from MARTHA WELLS INGHRAM(nickname "PATSY") (1802-1853),the 2d child born to ARTHUR and SARAH INGHRAM. MARTHA WELLS INGHRAM was md. to VAN BANKS DELASHMUTT (1802-1882) in Ohio Co., VA on Mar. 7, 1821. They had seven children. MARTHA died Aug. 19, 1853 in Mahaska Co., IA and is buried alongside her husband, VAN B. DELASHMUTT in the DELONG/DELASHMUTT CEMETERY about 6 miles SW of Oskaloosa, IA.
About 1869, VAN B. DELASHMUTT was md. to MARTHA'S younger sister, MARY H. INGHRAM (1821-1898), who had been previously md. in Des Moines Co., IA on Dec. 4, 1842 to PASCHALL TAYLOR. MARY H. (INGHRAM) DELASHMUTT is buried in the Rochester Cemetery which is located along the banks of the Des Moines River about 8 miles SW of Oskaloosa, IA.
