Hi Patricia, I have been trying to gain info about my Ingalls ancestry forever... When I saw your email I remembered that a Charles S. Austin was living at the same residence in Washtenaw Co., Michigan as my Ingalls ancestors. This was listed in the 1850 census. Charles at the time was 67yrs. old,from Mass., which puts his birth at 1783. Could he possibly be Alanson Austin's father? Is there a connection to the Ingalls and Austin's living together? My grgrgrandfater was Moses Ingalls, he was 29yrs old at the time of the 1850 census and living with Charles. Others are listed. A Betsy, Louisa, Lemuel, Sarah, Robert, and a Betsy Lesure,Tom and Henry. If any of this sounds intriguing please email me. Thanks, Marilyn
