My first suggestion would be to get a copy of his death certificate and his obituary. The death certificate would tell you what he died of and the obituary would tell you the names of his survivors. According to the Social Security Death Index his last known address was Frankfort, Clinton, IN. To get his death certificate, use the info on this site: http://www.vitalrec.com/in.html Since you have the date of death you may be able to get the obit from the Frankfort library - see the site below.
