Would someone please tell me where early estate/probate papers are housed? Are they at the county level and if so, the Recorder or? Do I need an index number or will a name and date be enough. I need a will, probate, admin,or whatever I can find for Michael Patton, died in Vermillion County, between 1830 and 1840. Where do I start? Thanks, Florence
