(a) From his enlistment in Capt. Parmenius Beckes' Company of Rangers on May 2nd, 1812, until May 31st, 1812, Jonathan Denton is recorded as being "absent, on command Busrow."
I suspect that "Busrow" may refer to the area in which there was a Shaker community from about 1811 to 1814, more or less. Can anyone confirm, correct, and/or amend that suspicion?
(b) On October 6th, 1812, General Samuel Hopkins wrote a letter to Governor William Henry Harrison from "Camp Busseron."
I suspect that "Camp Busseron" and "Busrow" above refer to the same location. Can anyone confirm, correct, and/or amend that suspicion?
