Thank you for the names of John and Mary (Brown) May. At this point I had only a census listing of Mary as a widow with the children in 1850. Louisa Dodd, who married Will May, was a sister to my great, great grandfather, William Dodd. I don't have a whole lot on Will and Louisa but I do have some: Indiana Marriages DODD LOUISA JANE MAY WILLIAM Huntington 7-22-1852 William May listed on roll of Civil War Pensioners - residence Winsted Lake, Minnesota, cause lung disability, inj to abdomen, monthly rate 8.00, date of original allowance Sept 1882. This is an error, will have to check again the 1900 census. May have copied it incorrectly, both could be 8. I can account for at least 7 children. He had no children -MD Anderson -77 Maude Dodd Anderson of Montevideo, MN sent our family quite a bit of information on the Dodd family there many years back. She has since passed away. I also have the names and email addresses of decendants of a couple of the other May children, Caleb and possibly another daughter, Jane. Sandra L. Nolan slnolan1@msn.com |
