Does anyone know of Emanuel Carick or Carrick who married Lavina Wilson December, 1843, in Elkhart,IN?
The History of Jefferson Twp., Elkhart Co.,IN,gives this of a Carick family.

The first settlers who located in this township were Thomas Carick and father, and a person by the name of Stutsman, during the year 1830 or 1831.

Lavina's father James L. Wilson also settled there, around the same time. The last information on Lavina and Emanuel, was that they were both alive in 1866 to sign on the settlement of James L. Wilson's estate, but we have no knowledge of them after that. I also do not know what relation Emanuel was to Thomas and his father. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Mary Wilson living with her parents James and Mary Wilson, 1850 census, Elkhart,IN.
The 1860 census shows her as Mary E. Reed, still living with her parents, however, there is also an Ezra Reed 19 yrs, and an Ezra Reed 5yrs, living there also.
At this point, Mary E. Reed was 36 years old. When Mary's father's estate was settled in 1866, Mary E. Reed signed alone, with no signature from a husband. Along with this, I have not been able to find a trace of her after that.
Does anyone know of these Reeds

Sarah Wilson m Horace Wolf Sept.21,1845 in Elkhart Co., IN
Nancy Wilson m Israel Wolf Dec. 26,1847 in Elkhart Co.,IN

Sarah and Nancy were sisters. Their parents were James L. Wilson and Mary Stanage Wilson.
When James died in 1866, his land and saw mill were sold to Israel Wolf, Nancy's husband. According to the 1874 Atlas of Jefferson Twp.,Elkhart Co.,IN, Israel still owned the land at that time. Nothing more is known of these two Wolf families. If anyone has information, please share.
