I am seeking information on Edward Robinson and his second wife Nina A. Burton (first wife Mary Jane Scott)

Ed was born 1847 in Champaign County, Ohio
(the son of John L. and Mary (Roberts) Robinson)
he married first 2-12-1873 in Huntington County, Indiana
to mary Jane Scott (dau of Henry Scott and Amanda Stephens)

Edward and Mary Jane lived on Biddle's Island --on Wabash River in Logansport, Cass County, Indiana. This would have been around 1880 and before 1885 (Samuel was born in Logansport In in 1880-- in 1885 he is in orphanage in Huntington, In.)

He supposedly left Mary Jane and later re-married -- he showed up sometime after this at Amos' home and was given permission to sleep in the barn --when they checked in the morning he was gone --
according to recollections of Tom Robinson --Edward never amounted to much --drunk a lot of the time --spent time as a hobo --hitching rides on trains etc. Supposedly he told Amos he had a good wife now --and was told he had a good wife before!!
This is only one side of the story and may be somewhat predjudiced -- would love to find Edward's second family and learn the rest of this story.

He married 2nd 1894 in Miami County, Indiana to
Nina A. Burton ( she may have been married before and thus this a married name and not her maiden name!)

Edward and Mary Jane's 3 children were
Amos Marion, John H., and Samuel

Amos and John were placed in an orphanage in 1885

Source: 18 March, 1885 Indiana Herald, Huntington, IN
20 children in orphan's home --17 boys and 3 girls, 2 have just arrived from the infirmary -- John and Amos Robinson, bright children but sadly neglected. Mrs. Sickafus, Matron -- We do not know where Samuel ( the other brother) is at this time.
Amos was 9 at this time

He remained in orphanage to age 12 (1888) and then worked for local farmers (Huntington Co) until his marriage in 1901.

If anyone can recognize Edward, Mary Jane, or Nina in their files --I would like to hear from you --- I'd like to know when and where Edward died and where he is buried.
Supposedly his second marriage was a happy one and he kept tabs on his sons from time to time.
