SURNAMES: OSBORN, ECLOV, STENSTADVOID

**Linda Osborn
Linda Osborn, age 51, co-owner of Bushnell Pottery, died peacefully at the Hospice Unit of Avera McKennan in Sioux Falls on Friday, June 1, following a difficult and courageous battle with lung and ovarian cancer.
Linda Jean Eclov was born on June 20, 1955, in Milbank, South Dakota, to Lyle and Grace (Stenstadvold) Eclov of Stockholm SD. The family moved to Britton, SD, in 1958. After graduating from Britton High School, Linda spent a year attending Trinity Bible School in Chicago, Illinois. She finished her college education at South Dakota State University where she received a degree in Home Economics. While at SDSU, she met Michael Osborn and the two were married at the Britton Methodist Church on March 4, 1978.
In 1979, Linda and Michael established Bushnell Pottery and traveled the Midwest developing a circuit of Arts and Craft shows they use to this day. Along the way, the couple discovered new places and made many lasting friendships with fellow artists. In 1987, Alyssa Marie Osborn was born and the two became three. For the next twenty years, they roamed, the country selling their wares as a family. The Black Hills of South Dakota became a favorite place to visit and holds a special meaning to Linda, Michael and Aly. Over the past thirty years, their home and studio in Bushnell has continued to grow and evolve. Their porch has been filled with many wonderful gatherings and good memories. Linda will be missed at these gatherings by friends both near and far.
Linda was an active member of the Brookings Summer Arts Festival committee where she was Chair of the Booth Committee. Linda and Michael's booth at the Festival was a favorite place to gather for the Committee members and friends. She will be missed at the pizza party after the festival.
Linda attended the First United Methodist Church in Brookings and enjoyed watching Aly sing and play her trumpet during services. Throughout Aly's high school years, Linda was very active in the Band Boosters and the BHS Theater Department. She traveled to band competitions, concerts, attended plays, and was available to sew a ripped costume at a moment's notice. Linda also followed her daughter's interests to college by attending more concerts and several exciting Big Red football events . . . go Huskers! Watching her daughter grow and mature through these events was one of Linda's great joys.
Linda was preceded in death by her father Lyle and is survived by her husband Michael, her daughter Aly, her mother Grace, her two brothers Lee and Larry and their families, and countless friends, all of whom will miss her deeply.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday June 9, at the First United Methodist Church, at 625 5th Street, in Brookings, SD. A lunch of Linda's favorite "church food" (scalloped potatoes and ham, buns and runny-red Jello) will be served after the service. All are welcome to attend . . . we will cry, we will laugh, and we will celebrate a life lived!
