Lisa, Did you try ordering Harry's death record from the Kankakee County Clerk? His parents should/could be on it. If that doesn't work, order his original Social Security Application. There is a link for ordering at Ancestry.com He would have filled this out himself and his parents would be shown on it. I hunted everywhere for him in the census and didn't see him. If he was orphaned young, it is possible he is listed under the surname of his grandparents or whatever relative he was staying with. It's happened to me before :-) Barbara
