It is believed that William C and Nancy Browning both came from Bourbon, Kentucky. I think nobody has proved that they were brother and sister, although they lived next door to each other in Martinsburg. A bio of Wm C. Browning says his parents were Jacob and Sally Browning, if I remember right.
Nancy married Irvin Reynolds, son of Henry Reynolds who was probably the Henry in the 1820 census of Bourbon Ky. He lived in North Middletown. Henry went to Lincoln, MO, and is probably the Henry Reynolds buried in Waverly township, in Reynolds cem.
Jacob Browning was, I think, in the 1810 census of Bourbon, KY.
Nancy believed and told her son Enoch that she was from Bourbon KY. It was mentioned in a biography of Enoch who lived in Stanislaus County California.
