I'm searching for more information on Alfred Messick and Hannah Gillingham and their children. Here is what I know:

Alfred Messick (1818 - 1877)
b. June 8 place unknown
d. Mar 26, 1877, Pleasant Vale Twp., Pike County, IL

Hannah Gillingham (1813 - 1903)
b. Sept 21, 1813, Salsbury, Columbiana County, OH
d. Nov 16, 1903, Hortons Station, IL

Children:
1. David Harvey(Horsey) Messick
2. Henry Harrison Messick
3. Elizabeth Francis Messick
4. Hannah Mariah Messick
5. Harriet Agnes Messick
6. Martin Risden Messick
7. Nancy Ellen Messick

Hannah's parents:
Thomas Gillingham and Fannie Milner:

Thomas: b. Mar 1, 1769 Bucks County, PA
d. July 7, 1826 Yellow Creek Twp, Columbiana County, OH

Fannie: b. abt 1770 PA
d. 1845, Highland Town, OH (buried Irondale, OH)

Now: the reason I'm interested is that my ggg grandmother was Elizabeth Risdon/Risden m. Solomon Risdon/Risden place unknown. Elizabeth b. 1794 in Del and Solomon b. 1801 Allegany County, NY. According to History of Upper Ohio Valley, her maiden name was "Messic". This family can be placed in Steubenville OH by 1830 and stayed there till their death. I'm trying to connect her to her Messic family and the middle name "Risden" for the son of Alfred jumped out at me. Perhaps a connection? Also, Elizabeth named her third son "Nottingham".

Any information would be appreciated. You may email me at dbrodowski at hotmail.com. Thanks in advance for your help.
