Referenced in "History of Hancock County", 1818-1868, Illinois Sesquicentennial Edition. Now vanished, this once thriving and prosperous village was in section 11 of Harmony Township, 2.5 miles east of Bently and on the main road from Carthage to Augusta. Most of the businesses moved to Bently after the RR failed to pass through Tuckertown.
