Hi Gale, Lines, Stephen, and Thomas Parker were all in the civil war. Thomas was killed, by being shot thru the breast on the last charge at Kenesaw Mountain. Lines L. Parker enlisted in Company D, 25th Regiment, Illinois Infantry in April of 1861. At springfield he was elected 2nd. lieutenant of his company. (I have much more info., on Lines because he was my 3 greatgrandfather.) I also have a resource for you that was sent to me a few years ago. http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/archives/genealogy/civilwar.html Let me know if this helps, and what more I can do to add to your search!
