Looking for parentage of both William McCracken and wife, Catherine (maiden name unknown). Have seen other trees on web, showing William McCracken married to Catherine Iams for about the same time period and place. Here are census records for the family I'm interested in:

1850 Census, PA, Greene, Center Twp, pg277b, line 8, 157 157 EN 21 August 1850
Wm McCracken, 40, M, Farmer, 800, "(For PA)
Catherine, 39, F, "
Rebecca, 18, F, "
Silas, 16, M, OH
Samuel, 13, M, OH
Elizabeth, 8, F, PA
James, 6, M, PA
John, 2, M, PA

1860 Census, PA, Greene, Richhill Twp, pg734, line 13, 362 355, EN 9 July 1860
Wm McCracken, 51, M, Farmer, 2000, 700, " (For Penna)
Catharine McCracken, 47, F, "
Rebecca McCracken, 29, F, Home Domestic, "
Elizabeth McCracken, 19, F, do do, "
James M McCracken, 14, M, " (For Penna)
John McCracken, 12, M, "
Dennis McCracken, 18, M, "

Notes: as Dennis is not listed on the 1850 Census, I wonder if he is a nephew to Wm McCracken??

Dr. Silas C McCracken married Henrietta Grim. They had the following children: Mary Bell (died at 16 diptheria), Fannie Rosalla (died at 14 diptheria, one week apart from sister Mary), William Ervin, James Linn, Liston Thayer, Robert Clark, Henrietta Virginia, Henry Clay, and Maggie May (died at the age of 3 of spinal meningitis). Silas lived in Jacktown, PA and later moved to Washington, PA.

A family member wrote that Samuel McCracken was a lawyer, and he had one son named Luther, who also was a lawyer in Washington, PA.
