I just wanted to post this for everyone to see, but in particular to Laurane Nash. I was searching again last night for my gg-grandmother Elizabeth Conklin, and came upon the 1925 census with my g-grandfather, Nelson Conklin's name. He lists his mother as "Elizabeth Stansberry" now I'm really, really confused. The marriage records of Ray County, Missouri list Ephriam Conklin and Betsey Elizabeth Fips married Sept 22, 1847. I'm figuring she married once before Ephriam and became Fips but her maiden name was Stansberry. She may have also from the 1st marriage had Sarah A. Conklin because she was born in 1846 and Eprhiam and Elizabeth did not marry until 1847. Any one out there know any thing????
