Mona, What is your Smith connection? I'm searching for the baptism or birth record for a male Smith (likely, Francis) likely born July 5, 1892 in southcentral Sac, northwest Carroll or northeast Crawford county. Maybe in Wall Lake, Odebolt, Breda or Arcadia. Likely non-Catholic. He was adopted by Jacob Remackel of SE qtr section 31, Viola twp, Sac Co., IA and baptised Catholic as Francis Remackel on January 27, 1893 at St. Johns in Arcadia,IA.
