There were a number of Jacob Orahood's children and grandchildren in Madison County. Jacob married Priscilla Garrett in 1830 in Union Co., Ohio. I think she died in 1860 and is buried in North Branch Cemetery. Who were Priscilla's parents? Jacob and Priscilla's son Melville was in Madison Co. in 1870 but came back to OH by 1880. Jacob and Priscilla's son Garrett, along with his family, was also in Madison Co. In 1870 census, Jacob is with his daughter Mary Harshfield. (Name is spelled Arahood in census) He was 63 at the time. Did he die in Iowa? (There is a Jacob Orahood buried in Union Co., OH but I'm not sure it's him.)Any information on this family would surely be appreciated. And I'm happy to share what I have.
