When were they born? Ages in censuses can help you estimate the year of birth. The 1900 U.S. Federal Census provides a month and year of birth; how many years a couple had been married; a year of immigration, etc. You can also find a year of immigration in censuses for 1910-1920-1930.

There are other places you should be searching for clues about when they arrived. Did they have children? When and where were those children born?

Have you checked the archive called the Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center? They have a website but their extensive collection of records is NOT online. We need to go there to research or pay them to research for us. They have records which are difficult or even impossible to find elsewhere, and many of us have solved difficult problems there.

I own some emigration databases and other useful information is available to me to help find the origins of at least many people from Sweden but this man's name is exceedingly common and without knowing when he was born and when she was born, there is no point at looking at thousands of hits and trying to guess which might be yours.

This is the type of information needed to find our Swedes in Sweden.
