The Harrison Co. IA Directory, pub. 1905, only shows John Crewdson and Irene Noyes married 12/22/1878 (I only search through 1900). In going through some old memorials I have for family and friends, I noticed one that shows your ggrandfather listed as clergyman of the Logan Christian Church, dated June 7, 1935. The current church has been in the same location since 1905 according to the Harrison Co. History published in 1981. Since I grew up in Logan, I know that this congregation is known for keeping clergy they like for a long time. You could write to the church secretary at Logan Christian Church, 205 E. 8th St., Logan, IA 51546 It's even possible that someone there would still remember your ggrandfather and like to correspond with you.
