I'm not sure about the connection with John Beaman. I never heard my father, Rufus, talk about his uncles or extended Beaman family members. He talked about my GUncle George Haney because I spent time with him when he stayed in California with my father and uncles. I'm a California native and still live here because all of Emmet & Maggie's children migrated to California except Howard. Howard did spend a year or two here but eventually returned to Iowa.
