1900 Iowa census Harrison co, Boyer twp. lists John W. Carter b Oct 1861 IL with Zachariah (father b Dec 1826 IL) and Rachel (mother b Jun 1834 Il gave birth 6 children 5 living) The 1910 census only shows John W. still single living in Cass twp. 1880 census has the family in Pottawattamie county Iowa. Seeking and all information on this family. Zachariah and family living in Brown Co. KS owning property 3 Oct 1860 and still there in 1870. Zachariah is believed to be son of John and Hannah Carter and a brother to Hannah Carter Rogers (remained in KS) and Nancy Carter Wolf (moved to WA) abd Nargaret Carter (whereabouts unknown)
