I'm not related to this family and don't know if you have found any info yet, but all records indicate that Eloyce "Buck" Tietsort farmed near Panama, Iowa, near Harlan for many years. This is in Shelby County, Iowa. He decided to quit farming and had a farm auction of all his property on Dec 9, 1955, near Panama.
The Harlan newspapers have several small articles about him; just general news of the community.
He is listed with his parents and siblings in the 1930 census for Shelby Co., Iowa, Grove Township, Sheet 4A:
dwelling 66, family 68.
TIETROST, Delbert F., 47, b. IA, father b. MI, mother b. IN, married at age 22, farmer
TIETROST, Allie, wife, 41, married at age 16, b. IA, father b. IA, mother b. IN
Tietrost, William W., son, 17, b. IA
Tietrost, Doris M., 15, b. IA
Tietrost, Goldie, 12, b. IA
Tietrost, Eloyce, son, 10, b. IA
Tietrost, Edith, 8, b. IA
Tietrost, Wayne K., 5, b. IA
Tietrost, Lyle R., 2 yr 6 mo., b. IA
The census taker mis-spelled the name, but this appears to be your family.
In the 1974 city directory for Council Bluffs, Iowa, he is listed as:
TIETSORT, Eloyce and Goldie M., custodian, First Baptist Church, home at 2201 7th Avenue.
There were also John, Richard, and Rolland A. Tietsort in Council Bluffs.
Hope this helps.
