Sorry, I don't have any information on Mary Powell Slaughter's siblings nor parents. I do have a transcribed copy of her obituary and it doesn't mention anything about her side of the family. You might have been luck if you could find a descendent of Moses & Mary. My husband's great grandfather was a brother to Moses.

Mary Powell Slaughter, Obituary, Dallas County Times 27 Mar 1902

Mary Powell was born in Hagerstown, Wayne County, Indiana, Feb 3, 1824, and died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Lunn, March 20, 1902, aged 78 years, 1 month and 7 days.
She was married December 30, 1841. Her husband died eleven years ago. To the union were born seven children, three of whom survive their mother. The oldest son died at the battle of Pea Ridge; the second son died at home. One son, Chauncy, died in Chicago eleven years ago and one daughter, Elizabeth, died in infancy.
She was converted and joined the Methodist church when she was sixteen years of age. She came with her husband to Dallas County, Iowa, in September, 1855, and had lived near or in Dallas Center ever since. Mrs. Slaughter's mind had been declining for more than a year. At times how ever she seemed quite rational, enough so to be able to attend church which she did quite regularly up to a short time before her death.
The funeral was held at the M.E. Church Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. Kirkendall. Interment in Christian Cemetery. (Now called Masonic Cemetery - 2002)
