I descend from a woman who is supposed to be related to President Grant. Her name is Elizabeth J. Grant HUTCHINSON or possibly HUTCHESON.

Elizabeth J. Hutchinson or Hutcheson
b. June 20 1830 in Pittsburg, PA;
d. Sept 20, 1908 in Ada, Norman Co, MN;
m.Samuel Miles Fulton in June 20 1948 in PA had these kids: Alzada, Ira, David, Mayme, John, Minnie.

I am looking for her parents and then her grandparents who connect her to the PRESIDENT ULYSSES S. GRANT's family line. I am ALSO looking for her connection to an "ANNA HUTCHINSON of revolutionary days" see below...

According to an obituary printed Sept 24, 1908 in Ada MN on Mrs. Samuel Fulton (Elizabeth J. Grant HUTCHINSON), it says Elizabeth's grandfather was the brother of Ulysses S. Grant's grandfather... which would mean that NOAH GRANT II is their shared great grandfather. Noah Grant II and Susannah had these kids: Noah (III), Susannah, Peter, and Solomon.

So my line comes from either PETER GRANT or SOLOMON GRANT unless these facts are wrong.

I have bought the US Grant memoirs and been on his family sites. Can anyone help?

---Also, in her obituary, it states Elizabeth Hutchinson (Mrs. Miles FULTON) descends from "Anna Hutchinson of Revolutionary days". This must have been her married name, not maiden, I assume. So who was this famous Anna Hutchinson of Revolutionary days? How is Elizabeth connected to her. Was she also from PA?
