John Mullins and Ceal Hurt had a son out of wedlock on 8/16/1895, in either Knott or Perry Co KY. The son was named Tom and he went by his mother's name, Hurt. Tom married Elizabeth Stacy in Typo, KY in 1917. He died of a gunshot wound on 8/20/1950. Can anyone shed any light on John Mullins and Ceal Hurt? Ceal undoubtably is a pet name for Celia, Priscilla, etc.
