Batavia (Illinois) Herald, Sept.8, 1904 Hitched to a Sulky cultivator, Wm. Hoyt, pulled his wife and 4-year-old son, form Moline to the World's Fair at St. Louis, arriving there recently. Mr. Hoyt set out on a wager and covered the distance of 315 miles, in one month, winning $1,000. ----- This newspaper item posted as a courtesy.
