Joseph Ross Houston (1871 - 1940) was the son of Dr. David Hannah Houston and Harriet Roxanna Polley Houston. Joseph (Joe) as he was fondly called, was a member of the Brahan Masonic Lodge of La Vernia, Texas and served as Worshipful Master (1910-1911). The Brahan Masonic Lodge is celebrating their Sesquicentennial in August 2009 and they are searching for photos of all their past Worshipful Masters to frame and hang in this historic building. If there is a descendant or friend of the Houston family who has a photo of Joseph Ross Houston and would share a copy with the Lodge, the membership would be most grateful. Joe passed away in Wilson, Lynn County, Texas and is interred in the Green Memorial Park Cemetery.
