Though you might be interested: Hoge Creek in Frederick County, Va., is named for the Hoge family, who settled there. William J. Hoge and his wife Barbara Hume moved to Frederick County, Va., in 1734 as part of the Joist Hite party. William J. Hoge gave land for the first Quaker meeting house at Opecquon in Frederick County, Va. William J. Hoge and Barbara Hume are buried in the Opecquon Presbyterian Church cemetery, Winchester, Va.
