I am searching for any information on James Hoey who was born about 1812 in Fermanagh, Ireland. He filed his intention to become a citizen in Yates County, NY in 1868. He appears with wife Sarah and son who was refered to as James Jr. and also D. James in 1870-1880. Sarah was born about 1830 in Ireland and James Jr. was born about 1864 in Ireland. The elder James died 28 Dec 1891 in Yates County, survived by only 2 granddaughters, Mary and Sarah Hoey. I have a Sarah Hoey born 27 Feb 1886 and her sister Mary born about 1885, both in Yates County, to James and Anna Chambers Hoey. Their father was deceased by 1892. I am hoping to prove or disprove a relationship with this family.
