I am related to JOSEPH HINDS Sr. b. abt 1700 in Elizabethtown, Essex Co. NJ. d. bet. 14 Apr 1772 & Aug 1772 Guilford Co. NC. Do not know who his parents were? Do you have any information on them. i HAVE THAT HE EITHER MARRIED RUTHA BALDWIN or RUTHA HIGGINS-which is correct?? Joseph HINDS Sr. had son Joseph HINDS Jr. Joseph Jr m. Hannah Gregory GRIDER Joseph HINDS Jr. had son SIMEON HINDS b. 11 Aug 1769 Rowan Co. N.C. d. 13 Dec 1840 Overton Co. TN m. Elizabeth STONE. SIMEON HINDS had son (George) JOHN HINDS b. 1 Oct 1809 Overton Co. TN d. 26 July 1862 Prairie Grove AR m 22 May 1841 Guilford Co. N.C. RHODA WEBB. (He went by name of John but in one of the census he was listed as George) (George JOHN HINDS & RHODA WEBB had daughter Rachel Amanda (called Amanda) Elizabeth HINDS b. 28 Feb 1842 Guilford Co. N.C. d. 24 1925 Westville, OK m. 21 Aug 1867 ROBERT ANDERSON MEDEARIS b. 1 Oct 1840 Knox Co. TN d. 3 Spr 1914 Westville, OK. Both of them buried in Old Union Cemetery, Cincinnati, AR.
