What happened to Charles Hester who inherited 400 acres of land in Louisa County from his father Robert Hester's will probated March 12, 1770. VaGenWeb has the wills and land records on line at http://trevilians.com/ but I can find no record of James Hester's son Charles other than possibly the grandson of James Tate named Charles Hester but I haven't seen any further documentation on his father's name. I think this entry has added speculation to the idea that Robert's wife Rachel was a Tate rather than a McAllister since no proof of the McAllister name has been found.
200 acres of land was sold in 1780 with his wife Susanna
and 580 acres of land were sold in 1792

I have not found a death date for Robert's son Charles but only know he was still living in 1792.
I have just added several more wills and land records to the original manuscript and corrected a few typos to what I had originally requested assistance in locating documentation to.
