Recently I started looking through my genealogy books and picked up the Hans Herr book. This book doesn't have a good index.I had what I wanted from it years ago and so I was going from page to page and came across a HERMAN!!!! This Herman line got added to mine. Under Martin Barr, s/o Martin Barr & Fannie Neff,b. 11 June 1795, d:20 Dec1867 m:13 Jan 1810 Susan Miller Susan Miller b. 1 Jan 1798, d. 8 Mar 1838, d/o Samuel Miller and Anna Witmer. children 1. Eliza Ann b. 4 Oct 1819, d. 25 Sep 1820 2. Fanny B. b/ 3 Apr 1821, m: 23 Oct 1844 John H. Harman b. 25 Nov 1819; s/o Daniel Harman and Susan Hurbst. (This is mine) 3.Hettie Ann b. 10 Mar 1823, d. 23 Aug 1899;m: 4 Sep 1848 Francis B. Groff (s/o Abraham Groff &maria Barr) 4.John N. 5. Martin\ 6. Ann Catherine 7. Samuel 8. Dr. David, m: Susan L. Dickson, d/o Isaac Dickson & Mary Sears. m: 22 Jan 1892 Widow Emma Breneman d/o Benjamin Shenk &Barbara Barr. Not many Hermans working on this line but this is another connection to Daniel Herman b.1682 who arrived here along with Marie Warembour in Lancaster County. He arrived in Englend on the first boat along with the ferees and Lefevre's. |
