Hi Bernadette I am from a branch of the Hempstead tree originating from S/West Suffolk, N/West Essex (20 or so miles S/East of Cambridge. So far I have got back to around 1825 with my GtGtGrandfather George Hempstead living in and around Glemsford, Suffolk and have info on other Hempsteads in the area in the 17 & 1800's that I have not managed to link with yet.
