I am from a Pace family in Fluvanna Co.Va There was a John Hartwell Pace living there He married Fannie Houchins and had several children I do not know if he is connected to my Pace family or why he carried the name Hartwell. My family was connected to the Champion family My grgrandparents were John R.Pace b. 1809 and Elizabeth? My grandparents were John Walker Pace b. 1843 m. Robinson my mother was Vera Walker Pace b. 1893 A Jesse Pace died in Fluvanna abt. 1807, He may have been related to my family He was married to MOurning Adams Witnesses to the inventory at his death were: Cuthbert Champion Patrick Woodson George Woodson Do you know of any Pace connections and why the name Hartwell was used in that family? Do you know of an area in England named Hartwell? from which these persons have used the name?
