Seeking additional information on Civil War veteran John Hardesty. According to his pension file he was born on June 20, 1843 in Indianapolis Indiana. During the Civil War he served in the 34th Indiana Infantry. On April 25, 1864 he married Mary Faulkner in Kokomo, Indiana. The couple had a daughter named Grace in March 1867 in Kokomo, Indiana. John died on July 20, 1919 in Melrose Park, Illinois. His wife survived him for several years, dying in Chicago in October 1933.
