I am looking for information on Mary Elizabeth Hambleton (b 1824, d 1866, daughter of Hugh Sherwood Hambleton & Mary Sherwood) who married to Philemon (?F) Hemsley in 1850, Christ Church, Easton, MD and had a daughter, Mary (born @1851)and son, Philemon (b@1859-60). I believe the daughter, Mary, may be my gr-gr-grandmother. She married (?) John Denton (b Calvert Co.) and had a daughter, Cora (b1876, d 1906), and possibly a son. The 1860 census lists: Philemon, farmer; Mary, wife; Mary, dau, age 9 (b1851), Ann (b1854), Cornelia (b1856); Philemon (b1859); Wm H Tilghman (b1784,d1863; whose parents were Peregrine Tilghman & Deborah Lloyd Tilghman) who is listed as an uncle on his deceased wife's side (Maria Lloyd Hemsley). I have hit a wall trying to connect my gr-grandmother, Cora, to her mother, Mary (Hemsley) Denton & father, John (?W) Denton and other family members. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
