In the 1960's there were members of the Galiothe family in Petit-Goave. The Galiothe, also spelled Gallioth or Galiotte, are from an area called Tête-à-Boeuf, in the Tapion mountains located between Grand-Goâve and Petit-Goâve. A branch of the family migrated to the La Gonâve island some years back and can still be found in the towns of Source-à-Philippe and Anse-à-Galets. From there some moved to Port-au-Prince.
A Galiotte of my acquaintance graduated from Law School and now holds a practice. I will gladly pass on to him any information you may send in order to further the search.
