Allow me to correct some mis-information your posted. As a direct descendant of an original Hakime in Haiti; no we were never Jews. Though are only known ancestor having disembarked in Haiti, was my great grandfather, Elie Abdallah Hakim(E) was a proud MUSLIM Arab originating from Greater Lebanon. The (E) added to the last name was due to francisation by social pressure. He arrived in Haiti towards the end of the 19th century fleeing political persecution in Beirut.
Also as a direct dececendant of one ALVAREZ, also from Haiti via the Dominican Republic, the IMBERTO-Alvarez are NOT Jewish either.
Thank you for allowing me to correct your list of Jewish surnames.
