I bought a large lot of antique photos and there was as small but really quite wonderful picture of a soldier, signed in a lovely hand on the back "Fred W. Gross 1919." It is so nice, in fact, that I feel it really ought to go to its rightful family, if at all possible. If you belive this gentleman to be related to you, please let me know and I'll post you a photo of the photo. The photograph came from "Glemmons 109 North High Street Columbus, O." (I just love that abbreviation for Ohio!) If you find Mr. Gross is your relation, then we'll find a way to get this soldier home again! (There are lots of other pictures that might be involved, too, an "Emmanual Kephart" and a "Harry P. and Mrs. Kephart," the homes of an "R.K. Bongard" or a "C.E. Bongard," even a huge quadruple-folded photo of the workers at the "Central National Bank & Trust, Co.," if any of they sound familiar?)
Please note that I am not scamming for money. I am sincerely interested in restoring these photographs to their rightful families of origin.
Take good care,
